Georgia O’Keefe

“I decided that if I could paint a flower in a huge scale, you could not ignore its beauty.”
– O’Keefe

What I love most about pieces by O’keefe is the fluidity conveyed. While majority of them are essentially close ups of beautiful flowers, there is still an abstract element to them because the entire shape of the subject has either been distorted or is no longer in plain sight. Looking at the bigger picture is always a great point of view but sometimes it’s important to take time to admire and appreciate the details.

Above are some of O'Keefe's works, of which are listed below. Clicking on the title of a piece will take you to it's respective page on O'Keefe's website.

    1. Abstraction White Rose
    2. Red Canna
    3. Yellow Hickory Leaves with Daisy
    4. The White Flower
